The teaser for Mehrunisa V Lub U is a teaser alright but with the added ingredients of a trailer.
YNH Films' latest project was touted to be a comedy or, as Yasir Nawaz told us earlier, a romantic comedy. But the teaser touches upon much more than just romance; there's drama, action, comedy and everything in between, unfortunately, what we're left with are a lot of questions.
The tone of the teaser leans more towards romance and is very low-key on the comedy aspect. Good job on getting us curious!
What's unfortunate is that many of the romantic shots clearly have Karan Johar written all over them (remember SRK and Kajol's romance? Yeah, exactly that). The dupatta-grabbing romantic songs, mountainous backdrops and action segments have all been done to death and we really hope the plot-line of this film stands out.
Also, we're quite confused as to what is happening... no seriously, what IS happening? From romance to family phaddas to action to romance... it's all a bit much to take in for a teaser because we don't know what's happening.
However, we also recall Nawaz claiming that if he hints "even a one liner, then all the suspense and fun would be ruined." And goodness did he stick to his guns because this teaser is such a tease.
While there is enough going on in the teaser to hint a forlorn affair, family support and some action thriller, it was still not enough to hint any plot or progression of the storyline That can either be an amazing feat, or worrisome.
The cast includes Danish Taimoor, Javed Sheikh, Sana Javed and Saqib Sameer.
The score seems pleasant, and the visuals are stunning. We actually want to wait for the trailer to come out so we can make predictions for this movie!
The film itself is slated for release on Eid-ul-Fitr.
